The Victim/Witness Advocate works as a liaison between the Office of the Solicitor General, the court system, law enforcement, and victims and witnesses. This position is critical to providing victims of crimes the services and attention they deserve when navigating the criminal justice system. The Victim/Witness Advocate is responsible for providing information to victims and witnesses regarding assistance programs; coordinating service referrals for victims of crime; accompanying victims and witnesses to court; and assisting in their preparation for court appearances.
