The Pretrial Diversion Program (PTD) offers an alternative to appearing in court and undergoing traditional prosecution. It is a voluntary program run by the Solicitor-General’s Office. No admittance of guilt is entered. Nothing is reported to insurance or to the State. You will not receive points on your license. Your charges are dismissed after you successfully complete PTD.

Not all charges qualify for PTD. To determine your eligibility, you must email your request to enter PTD and your citations to Kailey Statham (kstatham@bryancountyga.gov), Daniel Copas (daniel.copas@bryancountyga.gov), and Jennifer Kyper (jennifer.kyper@bryancountyga.gov). To participate, you must:

  1. Verify your eligibility by emailing copies of your citations to Kailey Statham (kstatham@bryancountyga.gov), Daniel Copas (daniel.copas@bryancountyga.gov), and Jennifer Kyper (jennifer.kyper@bryancountyga.gov) with the Solicitor-General’s Office.
  2. Await their response of approval and the contract to enter PTD.
  3. Return the signed contact by following the directions within said contract.
  4. You will be provided a new court date giving you approximately 90 days to complete PTD.
  5. Complete an online driving course with Creative Counseling Solutions (2-2.5 hour course) * Some tickets may have additional requirements *
  6. Pay for the course and supervision fee (typically equal to or lesser than the fine for your ticket).
  7. Submit proof of completion of the driving course and payment to Southeast Corrections (SEC), which supervises the program.
  8. If PTD is successfully completed, you will receive an excusal from further court appearances and your case will be dismissed. If you fail to complete any of the requirements, you will be required to appear in court on the rescheduled date and your ticket will be prosecuted.

If you’re already in the program and have questions or need to pay fees, contact Southeast Corrections (SEC). Payments must be made directly to SEC. The Clerk of Court cannot accept PTD payments.
